Známe finalisty PSA Hong Kong Open a některé z nich jsme opravdu nečekali. Největším překvapením je Cameron Pilley, který vyřadil Nicka Matthew.
Cameron Pilley sice vyhrál první set, ale ve druhém to vypadalo, že je po utkání. Nick Matthew nasadil drtivý úvod a vedl už 8:2. Pak polevil a bod po bodu se začalo skóre srovnávat, až nakonec i druhý set ztratil. Ve třetím to byla skutečná bitva, ale Pilley byl tentokrát důraznější a postupuje do finále výsledkem 3:0. Laura Massaro vyřadila nasazenou jedničku Raneem El Welily také 3:0 a obě zbývající semifinále skončily stejným výsledkem. Nicol David bude hrát své sté finále na profi tour.
